LG 2026 TV Lineup: The Models You Should Care About Before You Buy

The LG 2026 TV lineup has more models than ever. Here's what's genuinely worth your money this year and what you can skip.
LG 2026 TV Lineup: The Models You Should Care About Before You Buy

Every year LG releases a new TV lineup, and every year I have to spend an hour figuring out what changed. The LG 2026 TV lineup is no exception. C6, G6, B6, W6, QNED85B. It's alphabet soup, and most of it isn't worth your time.

A handful of models genuinely moved forward this year, though. And if you're planning to buy a TV in 2026, knowing which ones those are will save you from spending more than you need to, or worse, less than you should.

What's Changed in the LG 2026 TV Lineup

What's Changed in the LG 2026 TV Lineup

The headline upgrade this year is brightness, and for once it's not just marketing. LG's G6 flagship delivers up to 20% higher peak brightness than last year's G5, made possible by a second-generation Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel

OLED has always had the contrast edge over LED, but brightness has been the trade-off people complain about most. But now the G6’s brightness makes its OLED easier and more enjoyable to watch when you can’t get a total blackout in your TV room.

A few other things to know before you buy

The Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 3 is now standard across the G6, C6H, and W6. LG is introducing 4K 120Hz cloud gaming support on the 2026 OLEDs, a first for any TV. And (one of the best parts for me personally) Dolby Atmos FlexConnect is built in. That means the LG Sound Suite speakers can pair directly with the TV without needing the H7 soundbar as a middleman.

What the LG 2026 TV lineup doesn't include

Dolby Vision 2 support. TechRadar confirmed LG has no plans to add it. For most people, this won't matter. Dolby Vision 2 handles brightness and color more precisely, so if you’re a cinephile or an AV nerd, it's definitely a bummer.

The Models I’m Loving in 2026

The Models I’m Loving in 2026

Look, not every model in the LG 2026 TV lineup is a winner. These are the ones I think are worth your attention.

LG G6 OLED

The G6 is the flagship, and this year it's earned that title more than most. The 20% brightness boost is awesome, and the improved anti-reflection coating will be useful for a lot of rooms. LG claims screen reflectance below 0.5% on the main sizes. I know I hate it when you can’t see half the TV because of glare. So, that low of a reflection is fantastic. Plus, the Gallery design sits flush to the wall with a mount included. So it’ll look great on your wall.

If picture quality matters above everything else and your room gives you grief with glare, this is the one to buy. Prices fluctuate, but expect it’ll have a bigger premium over the C6.

Where it fumbles

There’s no Dolby Vision 2 or HDMI 2.2. For a flagship at this price, both feel like deliberate holds for next year's model.

LG C6 OLED

The C6 is the one I'd recommend to most people. It has Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 3 across all sizes. The 77-inch and 83-inch C6H models get the upgraded Tandem WOLED panel this year. That’s a big win if you're buying at that size.

For most living rooms, the difference in picture quality between C6 and G6 is smaller than the price gap suggests. If you’re not dealing with a major glare issue, save the money.

Where it fumbles

Same Dolby Vision 2 and HDMI 2.2 omissions as the G6. The smaller C6 sizes also lack the upgraded panel, so be sure to double-check which version you're buying.

LG W6 Wallpaper OLED

The W6 is a G6 with a wireless connection box that takes all the cables away from the panel, leaving it 9.9mm thin. It still needs a power cable, so it's not truly wireless, but it’s really aesthetically pleasing.

You're paying a premium over the G6 purely for cable management. If aesthetics are the main concern, the W6 is your TV. If they're not, the G6 gets you the same picture for less.

Where it fumbles

It's the most expensive way to get the same G6 picture quality.

LG QNED Mini LED

For buyers who can't stretch to OLED, the QNED Mini LED range is a reasonable middle ground. Mini LED backlighting gives better local dimming than standard LED. That basically means you’ll get darker blacks and less blooming around bright objects. It won't match OLED contrast, but it holds its own for sports, gaming, and well-lit rooms.

Where it fumbles

Honestly, this model feels like it’s just there to fill a price point. If you're at the bottom of LG's lineup, a competing brand at the same price will give you more quality. The Magic Remote continues to divide people too. If you prefer a traditional d-pad, just know that LG hasn't changed to it.

Gaming on the LG 2026 TV Lineup

Gaming on the LG 2026 TV Lineup

LG made some really exciting gaming upgrades this year. 4K 120Hz cloud gaming via Nvidia GeForce Now launches first on 2026 LG OLEDs. That means you can get high-quality gaming without a console if cloud gaming is your jam.

Bluetooth Ultra Low Latency finally arrives too, bringing controller latency down to 1ms after LG promised it for 2025 and didn't deliver. HDMI 2.1 is standard across the OLED range with four ports on the G6 and C6, and response time sits at 0.1ms.

I've looked at how the Samsung TV Gaming Hub compares if you're weighing up both brands for gaming.

Is an LG 2026 TV Worth Buying This Year?

If you're upgrading from a 2022 or older panel, yes. The brightness improvements are the biggest upgrade LG has made in a few years, and the C6 in particular is a strong TV at a reasonable price.

If you're already on a 2024 or 2025 OLED, probably not. The improvements are real but incremental. Unless the G6's brightness specifically solves a glare problem you're having with your current setup, there's no compelling reason to replace a working panel.

FAQs

What is the best TV in the LG 2026 TV lineup?

For most buyers, the C6 OLED is the best balance of picture quality and value in the LG 2026 TV lineup. The G6 is worth the premium if your room gets significant natural light or you want the flush wall-mount Gallery design.

Is the LG G6 worth the premium over the C6?

If your room gets direct sunlight across the screen, or you want the TV flush against the wall with minimal visible cables, the G6 justifies the extra cost. For most other living room setups, the C6 delivers comparable picture quality at a lower price.

Does the LG 2026 TV lineup support Dolby Vision 2?

No. LG confirmed it has no plans to add Dolby Vision 2 to any model in the 2026 lineup. Standard Dolby Vision is still supported across the OLED range.

What is the difference between the C6 and C6H?

The C6H is the 77-inch and 83-inch variant that gets the upgraded Tandem WOLED panel. The smaller C6 sizes use a more standard OLED panel. If you're buying at 77 inches or above, the C6H is the one to look for.

Is the LG 2026 TV lineup good for gaming?

Yes. The OLED models carry a 0.1ms response time, four HDMI 2.1 ports, 165Hz VRR support, and Bluetooth Ultra Low Latency for controllers. The G6 and C6 also support 4K 120Hz cloud gaming via Nvidia GeForce Now, which is a first for any TV in 2026.
