What the Rest of the Field Gets Right
While the Soundcore pair really checked off all my boxes, there are still some fantastic other earbuds to consider.
AirPods Pro 3
The AirPods Pro 3 still has the best ecosystem integration if you're on iPhone. Device switching is instant, the spatial audio is really impressive, and Siri integration is tighter than anything else on the market. The ANC is also strong. Call quality is very good, but it just didn't top the Liberty 5 Pro on that specific metric in my testing, which I didn't expect going in.
Sony WF-1000XM6
The Sony WF-1000XM6 has the best passive isolation of anything I tested. The fit is secure, the sound quality is excellent, and LDAC codec support means near-lossless audio over Bluetooth if your source supports it. If music quality is the priority, Sony is still the one.
Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen)
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) are the most comfortable earbuds for long sessions. If you're wearing earbuds for six-plus hours a day, Bose's fit system is worth the price on its own. The ANC is excellent. Call quality trails the others, but everything else about the wearing experience is class-leading.
